Retaliation is at the forefront as 50 Cent has been hit with a $3 million defamation lawsuit from the hip-hop website, HipHopDX.
The Blast obtained court documents for the suit where HipHopDX is accusing 50 Cent of tarnishing their reputation by labeling them as “fake news.” The lawsuit reads, “The celebrity known as 50 Cent has maliciously used his power and influence to falsely attack a small, independent media company for its unfavorable but entirely truthful content.”
The feud between both parties started back in June when HipHopDX reported that 50 Cent didn’t sell the rights to his catchphrase, “get the strap,” to Bellator MMA for $1 million, which he claimed in an Instagram post.
50 followed with another Instagram post of a screenshot of the HipHopDX article where he called the piece “fake news” and claimed he’d sue them, which he did for $150,000.
Now, the tit for tat continues!
